Who are you?

As a Senior Observability engineer at DevLeaps, you will play an essential role in delivering cutting-edge Observability engineering capabilities and accelerating the client’s journey toward Engineering Excellence. You’re responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and productizing Observability Platforms and being an example for your colleagues Engineers. You will collaborate closely with different cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance and hands-on support to improve the observability 🔎 of the development teams. Building dashboards, alerts, metrics, tracing and all the other magic of observability is part of your DNA.

What are we looking for:

• Are passionate about talking with developers to understand better how the platform can help them with their challenges.

• You have a passion for helping developers unlock their full potential.
• Know your way around container technology and the container ecosystem /Live and breathe “modern” technology.

• Have experience with agile methodologies and practices, such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP

To excel in this role:

• 5+ years of experience as a Observability engineer, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their services and offerings.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, Java, or Typescript.
• Proven experience in delivering engineering solutions and leading technical projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• A growth mindset and a passion for learning new technologies and skills.
• Previous experience in a consultancy or client-facing role is a plus.
• Leadership experience or the ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams.
• Very experienced with observability tools and frameworks, such as Prometheus, Grafana (LGTM), ELK, Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience with GitOps tools and workflows, such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or GitLab pipeline.

Every engineer @ Devleaps is working with our customers implementing the best tailor-made DevEx solutions. Except on Fridays! Our team will come together to work on our own awesome (DevEx) products.

In details:

• Lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for our clients (onsite).
• Work closely with client teams to understand their technical needs, requirements, and challenges.
• Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and mentorship to client teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop best practices, frameworks, and tools to streamline engineering processes.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and driving code quality improvement.
• Stay up to date with the latest engineering trends, tools, and methodologies.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent, promoting a culture of collaboration and learning.
• Speaking at conferences and community meetups
